QUICK KIT

This was a collaborative project between 3 graphic designers and 2 other Industrial Technology and Packaging (ITP) students. We created a portable diaper and milk-formula dispenser called "Quick Kit" that would be given to new parents who visit Pregnancy and Parenting Support San Luis Obispo (PPSSLO). PPSSLO is an organization that provides families with emotional support and resources from pregnancy through a child’s second year. I designed the outer sleeve of "Quick Kit", and re-designed the organization's logo.

THE ORGANIZATION

We knew the PPSSLO logo needed to be featured somewhere on the Quick Kit, Quick Sip, and Quick Flip boxes. However, the original logo did not match the new graphics and typography used to decorate the Quick Kit packages. In order to create a unified design, the logo underwent an extreme makeover and now features a stork cradling its baby to represent parenthood and care, while remaining gender neutral.

PROCESS

I explored different variations of the stork logo, as well as shortening the name of the organization. In the end, our team decided the stork logo should be paired with the full name of the organization.
